Every year, the city quarters Cabanyal, Canyamelar and Grao host the Semana Santa Marinera (Maritime Holy Week), a religious celebration for which Valencia is known for. About 30 brotherhoods gather to take in procession the religious statues accompanied by the penitents.
The Semana Santa Marinera is full of acts and celebrations, which gives this festival a unique signification in Spain. Enjoy!
