Requena has a rich history, which derives from its strategic location, dominating the natural route between Valencia and the Castilian meseta. Its old town reflects the splendour of those times when its economy was centred on the production of silk. However, richer than its history is its gastronomy, which you cannot miss!
Utiel and Requena enjoy prestigious wines, with certificate of origin, which can also be accompanied by their exquisite charcuterie, spicy pork sausages, black pudding, hams and an endless number of other delicious and traditional foods.
