ACADEMIC LOAD AND SCHEDULE OF THE COURSES

The Preparation Courses for the DELE exam are composed of 3 daily classes of 50 minutes each, from Monday to Friday.

Standard courses are held throughout fourteen days before the exam call. If you wish to start earlier the preparation of the exam, it is possible to start the course one or two weeks before.

These courses usually take place during the mornings (from 10.00 to 12.40) or in the afternoon (from 16.00 to 18.40). However, this schedule may suffer slight modifications, depending on the season and the quantity of students at the school at the moment.

NUMBER OF STUDENTS PER CLASS

Minimum 2 students per class and a maximum of 8, with an average of 2 or 3 students per class. In case of having only one student in the group, the daily class will be reduced to two private sessions of 50 minutes each.

On public holidays classes will not be held, however they will be made up throughout the week. If there happens to be two public holidays in one week, only one day will be made up for.

Our Preparation Courses for the DELE exam prepare for every level of the exams which are carried out for the calls in April, May, July, September, October and November in Valencia.

LEVEL TEST

Before enrolling at a particular level, it is recommended that students who are in Valencia take a placement test at our school, consisting of a written part (test with multiple choice questions and a short essay) and an oral test. After correcting it and chatting with one of our teachers, the student will be able to find out about the real possibilities of passing th tests.

This test is free of charge and always takes place outside the course timetable.

If the student is outside Valencia, we recommend that he or she use the exam models offered by the Instituto Cervantes on its website (https://examenes.cervantes.es/es/dele/preparar-prueba) to get an idea of the requirements of each exam and to be aware of the real possibilities of passing the tests.

In the event that the student has language gaps concerning the level he or she wants to pass, we recommend our intensive DELE 20+10 preparation program in which, in addition to receiving private lessons focused on working and acquiring strategies for overcoming the different tasks of the exam, an Intensive Course will be held to improve linguistic competence by working on all the components of the language (grammar, vocabulary, orthography, etc).

TEACHING MATERIALS

Didactic materials of the Preparation Courses for the DELE Exam are composed by exam papers along with complementary material developed by Costa de Valencia, escuela de español. This didactic material is carefully elaborated, selected and updated by our teachers. It is included on the price of the course.

TUTORING SERVICE

If you encounter any difficulties during the course, the school has a teacher-tutor at your disposal to guide you and help you solve any doubts. This service is free of charge.

In general, these tutorials take place from Tuesday to Friday, from 1.30 p.m. to 2 pm or from 3.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. You can ask your teacher of the Preparation Courses for the DELE Exam to apply for this service.

CERTIFICATE

At the end of the language stay, students will receive a certificate of attendance stating the level and type of course completed, the total hours spent during the stay (divided into teaching hours, hours of autonomous work and participation in socio-cultural activities) and the contents studied during the course.

FREE-TIME ACTIVITIES

Apart from our Spanish language courses, we also offer up to four extra-curricular activities per week. Participating in these activities allows students to put into practice the skills they have learnt in the classroom in an effortless and fun way. On the other hand, it is also a unique opportunity to get to know Valencia’s culture and people first-hand. We refer you to our updated program of free-time activities.

SOCIOCULTURALS MODULES

The sociocultural modules consist of conferences, debates, talks and usually include a visit to some touristic sites, such as museums or monuments. They last approximately 5 hours a week. The topics addressed (festivals, Spanish politics, gastronomy) put students in contact with a rich variety of aspects of Spanish and Valencian life.
