North of Jávea, under a cliff situated within the marine reserve of San Antoni Cape we can find the Cova Tallada (sculpted cave), a cavity open to the sea with a diameter of 400 m.

The grotto was made to win raw stones, which were used by the Muslims to build their fortresses. The cave is located at the end of Les Rotes beach, a little path with ashtonishing views along the Mediterranean sea. Finally you have to climb over stones to get to the opening of the grotto.
Like in an adventure book, there are little marks on the walls which display the story of the engravers over generations and carry them in today’s time.

We organise this trip to visit the Cova Tallada several times through the year...combined with a visit to the bulls festivals in Jávea or Denia.

Subject to change as a consequence of the health situation caused by COVID-19 and the measures adopted to deal with the pandemic.
